Life, it seems, is all about little girls these days. Perhaps it is because we’re expecting one of our own to join the clan and rock this house in all of her pink glory. Pink shirts, pink sheets, pink canopy panels… I believe less than a year ago we were convinced we didn’t like pink much. Oh how things change…
But I’m getting off track here. Saturday was all about Audrey! She is a very smart little girl with impressive speech abilities for an about-to-turn-two year old. She loves her Bear-Bear and her wonderful parents, who are oh-so-good with her!
We started the day at the Japanese Friendship Gardens in San Jose. We fed some ducks, observed extraordinary fish, looked up at upside-down hanging squirrels, read some books, and changed some diapers. Something tells me there are lots of days like these in our not so distant future.
On to the photographs…

Artsy little print for an artsy little girl…

The holidays are fast approaching and everyone seems to be sharing their tree pictures. We want to be cool, too, and join in on the fun. Here’s ours. Still rather scarce on decorations, but we shall remedy that soon. Best wishes from us to all of you out there! May your holidays be filled with joy, prosperity, and health!

We got together on a b-e-a-u-tiful afternoon at the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose. The Autumn colors enhanced only by unusually warm weather. Just look at the color of that water! Let all those who claim that we don’t have seasons stand corrected.

This is Carmen’s little boy, Tristan. Curious and fun he kept us all entertained. The little man has places to go and things to see!

As soon as next month Tristan will have a sister to keep him company!

Typically, our portrait sessions cost $350 and include a $75 credit toward prints. If you book your Holiday portrait session with us between now and December 6th, we’ll take 50% OFF that price.

I once labeled Fall as the Season of Death. How did I say it?…
“Now colors of the world will turn to dust,
And Nature will now do what Nature must.
And as we feel the angry bite of cold,
We’ll celebrate the funeral of the world.”
Oh the depressed ramblings of a nineteen year old! … Did I mention how much Nicole and I LOVE living in the Bay Area? Fall is now an absolutely beautiful season! It’s November and the temperature is in the 70’s! And they say no one moves for the weather!

What a great weekend! Nicole and I had our little “babymoon” and maternity shoot at our favorite Bed and Breakfast, The Sanitarium Spa. An artist haven of sort, The Sanitarium doubles as an art studio and gallery for local painters. It has whimsical rooms, moroccan bath tubs, fireplaces, candle chandeliers, and friendly hosts. Did we mention it’s an amazing place to take photos?!
When we got there, we were generously offered to stay in the biggest room of the hotel (in the rear house) because the main house had a jazz concert. We accepted the offer and walked back into the room that we know and love from our last visit about a year ago.
Here’s a photo of the “living room” portion, looking into an adjoining room. The other side of that fireplace is located in the beautiful bath on the other side of the wall. So if you’re ever in the mood to sit in a moroccan bath tub, under a canle-lit chandelier, with a fireplace crackling at a hand’s reach, this is the place. Okay, this commercial’s over…
… on to the photographs of our pregnant heroine, who’s done such a great job looking beautiful and exhibiting incredible patience during hours of posing, re-posing, and re-posing again.

Hope you enjoyed the show!
Tomorrow, Nicole and I are going to shoot a maternity session of our own. “Wouldn’t it be awesome”, we thought, “to get a henna tattoo on our belly!?”. Oh yeah, it certainly is. Especially when you find an artist who’s willing to go out of her way and put her heart and time into doing a great job!
While we’re praising Rachna, why not give her the official credit she deserves. Based in Sunnyvale, she’s been doing henna professionally for about 6 years. Visit her website. Thank you Rachna for the awesome job you did!
What started with a belly, quickly escalated to both hands and feet. Henna’s fun. =0)

The day started at Hotel Los Gatos. It was the first time we visited this beautiful hotel, and we hope it won’t be the last.
We shall skip the preparation details and jump to how beautiful and happy Mary looked.

Arriving at Villa Montalvo Arts Center we found Keith finishing up his vows, and doubling as a tux model. He looked sharp and collected.

Keith and Mary agreed to see each other before the ceremony so we could take some pictures of just the two of them. We set up a meeting for them at the Love Temple, making sure that when they saw each other, it would be special… and it was.

Thank you for letting us share in your joy, and giving us the opportunity to be a part of such a beautiful event. We wish you and your family many happy and prosperous years.
