Last week I attended a talk by a well-respected and much loved Hollywood photographer, Joe Buissink. In his talk, he spoke about the joys and advantages of being a “second shooter” at a wedding. “In fact”, he says, “I’m the second shooter at all of my weddings.”
A fellow photographer, Julie Weisberg, generously asked me to be a second shooter for the wedding of Cindy and Nick, and I was happy to oblige. As a second, I got to focus on the details and the in-between moments of the wedding, and walked away with many wonderful photographs, some of which you’ll see below.
How much you enjoy a wedding is largely affected by the people you’re photographing. Nick and Cindy made this wedding magical. They are both easy going, friendly, and in love. Their wedding party filled with ever more entertaining, wonderful people.
I will let the photos tell the story of their day…

Gorgeous work. And I think the couple is adorable!
Alex! Just saw these photos! They are so lovely and it was such a joy to share our wedding day with you. Thank you!!!
You are most welcome, Cindy. You guys were wonderful and it was an absolute pleasure being at your wedding.
Rosewood Sand Hill!! One of my clients!! I actually think the venue is pretty neat… especially the restaurant and the outdoor lounge… Nice pictures!!
Thanks, Bethanny. What do you do for them?
