Christina & Jerry {Engaged in San Francisco}

I met Christina and Jerry at the Caffe Greco. It was my first time at this cafe, and it felt genuinely “San Francisco” – vintage posters, sliding windows, great lattes, and sweet deserts. We talked about how they met and shared our relationship theories. We started the engagement shoot by taking a few photos inside and out of the cafe, where I bravely risked my life for art by shooting from the road. =0)

On the way to the cable cars we took advantage of every bench and flower-kissed brick wall. Christina and Jerry were a little shy, but did a great job despite all the people walking by. The cold air did not let us forget that we’re in San Francisco.

More than anything, Christina wanted photos with the Golden Gate bridge in the background. With her help, we found just the spot she had in mind! Jerry and I did our best to lift the fog off the bridge…

A great time was had by all. =0)

Mellanie and John {Engaged in San Jose}

I love them! Really, I do. There was jumping, dancing, flirting, kissing, kung fu fighting, and everything in between. Everyone had a blast. Mellanie and John have such great chemistry going, it’s an absolute pleasure to be around them.

We strolled the streets of downtown San Jose and took advantage of all the picturesque places along the way. We played tennis and rolled around in the grass. We, my dear friends, had an awesome engagement shoot.

Mariela and Robert {Engaged in Mountain View}

Robert and Mariela have those heart-warming, grin-inducing love stories – they are High School Sweethearts. One doesn’t have to spend much time with them to see the love and respect present between them, and it was a pleasure capturing it “on film”.

We started off in Mountain View, then relocated ourselves to the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden to take advantage of the cheery blossoms. The light was beautiful, and so were they.

Robert, Mariela, you did a great job yesterday! I’m looking forward to your wedding day.

Mitch and Natalie {Engaged in San Francisco}

It’s been waaaaay too long since we spent some quality time at the Golden Gate park in San Francisco. It is such a beautiful park. It’s liveliness reminded me of Central Park, back in NY, where I have to admit I didn’t spend enough time either. When we got there, Mitch and Natalie were romancing on the stairs in front of the Conservatory of Flowers, where their engagement session was about to commence. Their love and affection for each other shined through every step of the way. One of many benefits of this “job” is watching your own love grow in the presence of the love of others.

The “cherry on top” was Mitch’s BMW from 1970-something. Newly remodeled, it is a sight to behold, I tell you. The following images were edited to add to the vintage feel of the machine, and the timelessness of love.

Kyle and Veronica {Engaged in San Jose}

We were starting our new jobs at Mercury Interactive on the same day, and were the only two people at the “orientation” meeting. Kyle and I have been friends ever since. He always struck me as a sensible and respectable guy, and when Nicole and I got to meet Veronica, we were happy that he found someone so lovely to complement him.

We were thrilled when we heard the news of their engagement, and were just as excited when they chose us as their wedding photographers.

We started the e-session with lunch at Tomatina, and took advantage of their colorful walls first thing thereafter.

Five Wounds Portuguese National Church was on the way to our next location, so we took advantage of its beauty.

The amazing City Hall was our next stop. I’m fairly certain we exploited every curvy line that place had to offer. The 15mm fisheye lens gave us some interesting perspectives.

We smelled some flowers, had some coffee, and headed out to discover more of downtown.

Kyle did some window shopping at the San Jose Public Library. =0) It was fun.

And now we can’t wait for the wedding…
