Meeting and photographing Happy and Amy was one of those spur of the moment opportunities that drop into your lap unexpectedly and expand your horizons more than you could have imagined. Not since my beautiful wife’s brial shoot, back when my business was in its infancy, did I have an opportunity to photograph anyone clad in traditional Indian outfits. Happy and Amy’s engagement, and their wedding (just wait till you see that!), were the opportunity I’ve been dying for.

They walk with an air of confidence, and speak with kindness in their voice. It was so refreshing! Working with them was easy and fun. So without further adieu…

So… do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?

In Kelly and Benjamin’s case, walking by again was simply not necessary. It was just as unnecessary to ask them to smile. In fact, it was nearly impossible to wipe the grin off either one of their faces during the entire shoot – and believe me, I tried. =0) They love being together, and it shows.

Anyone watching them would not need a second glance to fall in love with them either. Oh the looks we got! Oh the words of encouragement! And who cares if it was from the windows of passing cars? They were dancing in the streets and they didn’t care. The world faded and it was just the two of them! And you know… my camera in their face.

We invite you to enjoy the fruit of our labor. Go ahead ladies and gents … fall in love.

Elizabeth and Andy {Engaged in Cupertino, CA}

Elizabeth and Andy met in church less than a year ago. It did not take long for them to realize that they were made for each other. A few wonderful months later Andy got on one knee and proposed in a gazebo surrounded by white roses. (Yep, the same one you’ll see in the photos.) Elizabeth kindly accepted, and so they shall be married on their first anniversary.

How romantic is that?! If my brief story isn’t making you go “Awwww!”, I will let the images of happy smiles, gentle kisses, and warm embraces do the convincing for me.

Christina & Jerry {Engaged in San Francisco}

I met Christina and Jerry at the Caffe Greco. It was my first time at this cafe, and it felt genuinely “San Francisco” – vintage posters, sliding windows, great lattes, and sweet deserts. We talked about how they met and shared our relationship theories. We started the engagement shoot by taking a few photos inside and out of the cafe, where I bravely risked my life for art by shooting from the road. =0)

On the way to the cable cars we took advantage of every bench and flower-kissed brick wall. Christina and Jerry were a little shy, but did a great job despite all the people walking by. The cold air did not let us forget that we’re in San Francisco.

More than anything, Christina wanted photos with the Golden Gate bridge in the background. With her help, we found just the spot she had in mind! Jerry and I did our best to lift the fog off the bridge…

A great time was had by all. =0)
