Eva in October

Written by Door51 Photography on Oct 17 2009 | Children's Photography, Family

Feels like forever since I posted photos of our daughter on the blog, and she’s grown so much since then. If you have your own, I’m sure you know just how fast they change in their first year. Eva’s no exception. She’s been a wonderful baby and an absolute joy in our lives.

While we’re on the subject of children, I would like to point you to the new Promotions and Events section of the blog. There, you’ll find details about our “Halloween in the Park” event that will focus on your adorable “trick or treaters”. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!

And now, without further adieu, a few recent images of Eva and her proud parents.

Our Two Year Anniversary in Santa Barbara, CA

Written by Door51 Photography on Apr 11 2009 | Family

April 8th made two years since we got married. Little did we know then, that only two years later we’ll have an extra person in our midst. And one that travels so well, too!

Santa Barbara, CA has been at the top of Nicole’s wish list for a long time, and when we got there, it did not disappoint. A five hour drive (with Eva sleeping peacefully in her car seat through just about all of it) got us to what was officially the most amazing hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The place is called The Eagle Inn, and their website does not do it justice! I’m convinced we got the best room in the place, too.

This, right here, is the front of the hotel.

And this is us, taking full advantage of the rich bougainvalia plants blooming all around the place.

Day 2, unlike the previous, was nice and sunny! The three of us went for a walk up and down the popular State street. Little did we know that it would turn into a nice 5 hour walk!

Had lunch at an Indian restaurant, where food was as good as the service was bad. Eva slept through the whole thing. Good girl. She loves her car seat. (Thaaaank you, aunty!)

After lunch we visited the beautiful Santa Barbara Court House. The architecture of the city, much reflected in some of these photos was just amazing. Made us want to move, it really did.

Welcome Eva Alexa to the World!

Written by Door51 Photography on Feb 04 2009 | Family

That’s right! She’s finally here. Born about a week ago, on the day of my mom’s birthday. Given that I was born on my grandma’s birthday as well, I say we’re starting a new tradition!

She was born 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and 20 inches long. A tiny little thing!

Baby Version 1.3

Written by Door51 Photography on Jul 24 2008 | Family

Went for our second appointment today, and to our surprise (a pleasant one at that!) the Doc brought in the ultrasound machine to show us our baby! The baby was moving around in there! Trying to show off no doublt!

Funny how you don’t really understand the “miracle of life” until you see this tiny moving thing that’s growing inside the girl you love. I can’t help but replay it in my mind and grin.
