Personal
Eva in October

Feels like forever since I posted photos of our daughter on the blog, and she’s grown so much since then. If you have your own, I’m sure you know just how fast they change in their first year. Eva’s no exception. She’s been a wonderful baby and an absolute joy in our lives. And now, [...]

April 8th made two years since we got married. Little did we know then, that only two years later we’ll have an extra person in our midst. And one that travels so well, too! Santa Barbara, CA has been at the top of Nicole’s wish list for a long time, and when we got there, [...]

Eva Butterfly – a Tribute to Anne Geddes

Just wanted to see if I can do it… not perfect, but cute.

Welcome Eva Alexa to the World!

That’s right! She’s finally here. Born about a week ago, on the day of my mom’s birthday. Given that I was born on my grandma’s birthday as well, I say we’re starting a new tradition! She was born 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and 20 inches long. A tiny little thing!

Aaaaaalooooha! We just came back from Hawaii and we already miss it. Frankly, we didn’t want to leave the island after spending less than 6 full days exploring its beauty. In the morning of our second day on Oahu, we drove ourselves to a botanical garden. About 15 minutes away from the busy Honolulu, this [...]

Went for our second appointment today, and to our surprise (a pleasant one at that!) the Doc brought in the ultrasound machine to show us our baby! The baby was moving around in there! Trying to show off no doublt! Funny how you don’t really understand the “miracle of life” until you see this tiny [...]

On Friday we went to a doctor and had our first ultrasound. Head … check! Body … check! Hands … check! Feet … check! What else can we ask for?! And here’s a picture of the printout we were handed. A close up of sorts :0). Did I mention Nicole’s ready to buy her own [...]

Happy Father’s Day to ME!

I come home to a suspiciously familiar gift box, neatly positioned in the middle of the dining room table, with a bow on it and everything! “A present!”, I thought, “I love presents!” I open it up to find a velvety red Sephora bag inside. “Uhm… I don’t need makeup, but I’m curious.” I feel [...]

The 9th of May is one of the most celebrated holidays in the former republics of the Soviet Union – it is the official date of the end of World War II.  It is the day when I remember and celebrate my grandfathers who fought in the war and then came home to birth my parents.  I [...]

The Grand Adventures of Alex and Nicole

We celebrated our one year anniversary with a trip out East. We spent one day in Vegas, two at the Grand Canyon, and one in Page, AZ. Lots of sights and sounds in very little time! Lots of driving. We had a blast, but  now I have 500 pictures to sort through. But let me [...]
