AMAZING. That is one word that describes our experience with Door51. From the very first meeting Alex and Nicole really went the distance to make sure the whole experience was a smooth as possible. They met with us and got to know us before taking even one photo. Alex’s passion and professionalism stand out in a crowd of mediocre wedding photographers.
We purchased an engagement session along with our wedding and each and every photo was a work of art. It takes a very keen eye, photographic skill and serious dedication to capture images like these. Look no more, fellow Yelpers, you have found your photographers.
When planning our wedding, we put a lot of time and thought into choosing our photographers. We had heard a lot of horror stories about wedding photographers being pushy, taking cookie-cutter photos, and being late with prints. We really wanted to find photographers who could capture our day beautifully without making us crazy. Hiring Alex and Nicole at Door 51 was one of the best decisions that we made – our engagement and wedding photos are absolutely amazing and we loved working with them!
Alex and Nicole are top-notch photographic professionals. They have an expansive knowledge of their craft and made excellent suggestions about how to get the best possible shots. At the same time, they were always asking for our input – did we want more posed shots or more photo-journalistic ones, did we have examples of pictures that we loved and wanted to recreate, were we comfortable with climbing up a tree for a few shots (we were, and the resulting pics were great). Alex and Nicole also happen to be incredibly warm and kind people which makes it easy for you to be yourself and have fun during your shoot. This is more than a job for them, they truly are committed to bringing out the beautiful and capturing the magic of the people that they work with.
We couldn’t be happier with the service that we received from Door 51. My husband and I will be sticking with Alex and Nicole for life – I can’t wait to have them take pictures of our future babies and wedding anniversaries.

Alex and Nicole are a really friendly couple. They’re really helpful and artistic as well. We hired the team for the biggest day of our lives–our wedding day–and we were absolutely blown away by the results. The pictures were crisp, sharp, artistic and just stunning.
We’ve worked with a few photographers before, but none of them were as good as the Door 51 team.
We’ve had our pictures taken in studios with “professionals”, but their pics didn’t come close to the high quality pics that Door 51 served us. Alex also gave us a bunch of bonuses that studios would charge us hundreds of dollars for.
Door 51 is simply awesome. My wife and I highly recommend them. Look no further if you want to immortalize yourself eternally into the most beautiful pictures.

We cannot sing enough praise about our wedding photos & about Alex & Nicole. Their website won me over as I struggled to find a photographer from Connecticut…reading through their blog, their artistic eye was apparent. Both Alex & Nicole were so friendly & professional & took the time to meet with my parents and then attend our rehearsal dinner to meet us.
The pictures speak for themselves, but the rave reviews from my family & friends are also telling. I am a little bias, but I don’t recall ever seeing such beautiful wedding pictures! Our friends all say these pictures look straight out of a magazine.
