Out with three of my favorite girls! Eva did a great job posing, while Nicole rocked the camera! Happy Father’s Day to me and to all the father’s out there.

How we love our Sunday mornings in Mountain View. If we could go back in time, we would not have moved.

I’m a rasta’ baby, mon.

I don’t think this one needs an explanation. Really.

Mother’s Day in the park.

Sleeping with Cow-Cow.

Adoring Cow-Cow

That’s the “papa, you’re mad funny” grin.

Whatcha talkin’ ’bout, Willis?

Being adorable.

A sign of things to come…

Exactly 4 month into her life! Yay! Where’s the dancing banana when you need it?

We dressed Eva up and took her to the nearby Rose garden. Life is beautiful.

April 8th made two years since we got married. Little did we know then, that only two years later we’ll have an extra person in our midst. And one that travels so well, too!
Santa Barbara, CA has been at the top of Nicole’s wish list for a long time, and when we got there, it did not disappoint. A five hour drive (with Eva sleeping peacefully in her car seat through just about all of it) got us to what was officially the most amazing hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The place is called The Eagle Inn, and their website does not do it justice! I’m convinced we got the best room in the place, too.
This, right here, is the front of the hotel.

… and the side of it …

… the lovely landscaping touches …

And this is us, taking full advantage of the rich bougainvalia plants blooming all around the place.

Day 2, unlike the previous, was nice and sunny! The three of us went for a walk up and down the popular State street. Little did we know that it would turn into a nice 5 hour walk!

Had lunch at an Indian restaurant, where food was as good as the service was bad. Eva slept through the whole thing. Good girl. She loves her car seat. (Thaaaank you, aunty!)

After lunch we visited the beautiful Santa Barbara Court House. The architecture of the city, much reflected in some of these photos was just amazing. Made us want to move, it really did.

A few more of us…

… and the mandatory Elvis lip shot. You gotta love that look.

It’s been a long time coming… more pictures of Eva and her famously awesome crib.

A blink of an eye it seems, and she’s two months old! Cooing and smiling, giving us the Elvis lip, and all that jazz. We took her and her grandparents to the Montalvo Arts Center to visit our friend Kathleen. Could not have asked for a more beautiful day, either.

Oh how we love our sheep. There’s the white sheep with pink face, the black sheep, the sheep mobile, the sleep sheep, the little sleepy sheep, the curly-limpy-hidden-in-the-corner-sheep, the I-play-a-melody jungle gym sheep. I wonder if I’m forgetting anything? ![]()

Seems like a week ago we were in the hospital… Only our sleep-deprived eyes tell the story of the time gone by. That, and the absurd amount of photos we’ve taken of her. Eva’s a bit heavier now, though looking at her you’d be hard pressed to tell. She still looks tiny. TINY. We’ve had way too many people who never met her in person, and judging only by the photos, tell us how big of a baby she is. Well… we’re here to dispel the myth.
Anywho, looks like we went a bit off topic. Back to Eva’s progress. She cries louder now, and makes funny noises when she eats. Still hates being changed. Smiles when dancing with her mommy and in her sleep. Still crosses her feet every chance she gets, and sleeps through blasting rambles of Franz Ferdinand… that’s when she doesn’t rock out to it, that is.
And she loves her giraffe… thank you Aunty Julia!

Went for a little walk today. To the local coffee shop, ’round the park, and back. Took advantage of all the beautiful cherry blossoms adorning the trees near our place. February and March are my favorite months here in Northern California because of these trees. And they are EVERYWHERE - white, pink, purple - they add a dreamy, magical quality to an already wonderful place. Add a face of an angel, and we’re in paradise.

Okay, I confess, I’m in love with her feet. They are just SO DARN CUTE!
